Minnesota sees an increase in ice fishing licenses

MINNESOTA – Minnesotans are showing more enthusiasm for ice fishing this winter.

The DNR says more than 56,000 ice fishing licenses were sold between Thanksgiving and January 13th. That’s the highest number since the 2015-2016 ice fishing season.

The increase could indicate a rebound for fishing license sales in the state which have been dropping since 2020.
