Minnesota State Patrol responds to several weekend crashes

(REGION) – Several crashes were reported over the weekend in Minnesota.

Wright County

A Maple Lake man and woman were injured when their vehicles collided on Highway 55 in Wright County Sunday morning.

The Patrol says a 2018 Chevy Silverado and 2016 Ford Fusion were both eastbound when they collided. Both were taken to the hospital.

Becker County

On Saturday, one was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 34 in Carsonville Township in Becker County.

A 2023 Ford Ranger was eastbound on Highway 34 when the driver, 21-year-old Kolby Jones, lost control, entered the ditch and rolled. One of his passengers, 21-year-old Calvin Hickman, was taken to a Detroit Lakes hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Norman County

One person died early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Halstad.

A 2003 Ford Taurus, driven by 68-year-old Ramundo Zenteno, was northbound on Highway 75 when a semi, driven by 26-year-old Luis Pardo, of Mexico, collided with the Taurus. Zenteno died as a result of the crash. Pardo was not injured.
