Minnesota swimmer set to compete with U.S. Olympic team in France

WDAY RADIO — Minnesota native will be heading to France after setting a world record at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis.

Regan Smith won the women’s 100-meter backstroke last night in a time of 57.13 seconds. She beat the old record held by Australia’s Kaylee McKeown by two-tenths of a second.

Smith will be part of the U.S. Olympic team that will compete in Paris at the end of next month.
