WASHINGTON – Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar will be the top Democrat on the Senate Agriculture Committee.
She was named Ranking Member by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Klobuchar will head the committee that will oversee the next farm bill.
Klobuchar says in a statement she’s excited to work with Chairman John Boozman of Arkansas to support farmers, ensure Americans can feed their families, and boost the rural economy and conservation efforts.
Democratic Minnesota Congresswoman Angie Craig became Ranking ranking member of the House Agriculture Committee earlier this week.
