(Bismarck, ND) — Cash is on its way from the nation’s capital to help North Dakota officials enhance pedestrians’ safety in Williams County.
Federal officials with the Railroad Crossing Elimination Grant Program say their one-point-nine-million-dollar grant will go towards the Marley Crossing Planning Project on North Dakota Highway 1804. The project will also encompass improvements to support grade crossing-related activities in Trenton Township on BNSF infrastructure and on Amtrak’s Empire Builder corridor.
BNSF and the North Dakota Department of Transportation are covering 20-percent of the project’s costs.
