New $5 Billion Mayo Clinic Project

The Rochester City Council is set to review the impact of a five-billion-dollar construction project proposed by the Mayo Clinic. The council will look at the updated Alternative Urban Areawide Review for the project during a meeting tonight in Rochester. The Mayo Clinic wants to build four new medical buildings and expand a utility plant in the downtown area. The report looks at the impact the “Bold. Forward. Unbound” project could have on the area, including traffic, parking and the surrounding environment. The council is set to vote on accepting the report following tonight’s discussion.
