(WASHINGTON, DC) – While North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum’s name has been swirling for some time as a potential cabinet member under President-elect Donald Trump, now South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem’s name has surfaced.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Noem is being considered for the position of Secretary of the Interior. The leader of the Interior Department is responsible for national parks, wildlife and natural resources.
Should she be tapped to lead the department, Noem would replace current Secretary Deb Haaland.
