NORTH DAKOTA – The wild turkey population is on the rise in North Dakota according to the state’s Game and Fish Department.
The agency says about 5,000 turkeys were harvested last year.
Wild turkeys are not native to North Dakota, but turkeys and turkey eggs were brought into the state in the early and mid 1900s.
