(NORTHWOOD) – A small town in Grand Forks County is losing its police force. Officials with the City of Northwood say its police chief, Mark Pollert, is resigning as of September 30. As a result, as of 4 p.m. on Monday, the Northwood Police Department will no longer be in service. The Northwood City Council will meet in special session on Thursday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss law enforcement.
