One dead, another injured in West Fargo shooting

(WEST FARGO) – One person is dead and another in the hospital with severe, but non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in West Fargo this morning.

The West Fargo Police Department said the incident happened at 7:48 a.m. at the Prairie Heights Church, located at 319 32nd Avenue East. When authorities arrived on scene, they were informed that an altercation had taken place between a total of three individuals.

During the incident, one of the individuals sustained a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a local hospital, where they were declared deceased. The name of the individual is being withheld until next of kin notification is completed.

A second individual was transported to the hospital with severe, but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the altercation.

Police say there is no indication of an active threat to the public, and that the incident remains under an active and ongoing investigation.
