RICHLAND COUNTY, N.D. – A driver is dead after a vehicle broke through the ice on Grass Lake Sunday in Richland County.
The sheriff’s office says they received a call requesting a welfare check on a driver. Deputies say they found the vehicle submerged in about 12 feet of water. The driver, who was found inside the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
