(HALLOCK, MINN) — A scammer is targeting Minnesota law enforcement agencies.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says it has received several scam call reports of which the caller claims to be a sheriff’s office employee. One call came from the sheriff’s office phone number and claimed to be Sergeant Hibma, an employee, and told the person they missed jury duty and either needed to pay a fine or risk jail time.
