President-Elect Cabinet picks, appointees target of threats, spokeswoman says

(NATIONAL) – Several of President-Elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks and appointees have been targets of threats, according to Trump-Vance Transition Team spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt.

“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and Administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them. These attacks ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting.’ In response, law enforcement and other authorities acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action,” she said in a statement.

WDAY Radio News has reached out people affiliated with North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Trump’s pick for Interior Secretary, to inquire as to whether or not the governor has been target of threats. We will update this story as new information becomes available.
