Presidential candidates hold large rallies ahead of 2024 General election

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Both the Trump and Harris campaigns are building to massive rallies as the General election is eight days away.

Former President Trump is continuing his push for the White House following a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City. House Speaker Mike Johnson, Elon Musk, Melania Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke at the event along with the former president, who promised to “fix” what he said Kamala Harris had “broken.” He said he would let RFK Junior “go wild on health,” along with food and medicine.

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who goes by Kill Tony, brought on controversy following a set that included insults towards Puerto Ricans, in which he said there was a “floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now,” adding “I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

Meanwhile, a speech by Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to draw 20,000 people to the Ellipse near the White House. The Democratic presidential nominee will give what organizers are calling her “closing argument” to voters tomorrow. The location may be somewhat symbolic, as Harris is scheduled to give her speech at the same location where former President Donald Trump spoke on January 6th, 2021. Preparations for the rally and speech are already underway and multiple road closures are expected around the site.
