Record number of visitors stopped in Minnesota in 2023

(ST. PAUL, MINN) – Minnesota’s marketing and promotional group says the state saw an influx, and record, number of visitors in the state last year.

In a report released last week, Explore Minnesota said there were more than 80 million visitors in the state in 2023, which equals a more than four percent increase year-over-year. It’s also nearly four percent above pre-pandemic levels.

Visitors to the state spent more than $14 billion, an eight percent increase from 2022.

The state saw more than 180,000 jobs generated, supported by more than eight billion dollars in labor income.
