(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota City of the Year is Gilby.
The state League of Cities announced the winner at its conference over the weekend.
The winning city is one that goes above and beyond to work together as a community to get important projects done.
Gilby was founded in 1887 and is about 27 miles northwest of Grand Forks.
According to the 2020 Census Gilby is a city of 243 residents.
