(Morton Co., ND) — The Morton County Sheriff’s Department is using a new tool to take suspects into custody.
The department is the first in the area to purchase the new Bolawrap. Much like a taser, the Bolawrap fires a Kevlar cord that can wrap around a subject. Unlike a taser there is no pain involved with its use.
Officials say the Bolawrap is not considered a use of force and will be used primarily to take an uncooperative subject into custody without the use of force.
