(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota State Senator Kelly Morrison is entering the race for Congressman Dean Phillips’ seat.
The Democrat from Deephaven is described as an advocate for abortion rights.
Morrison joins Democratic National Committee member Ron Harris as a candidate for the Third Congressional District seat.
The assistant Senate majority leader and practicing OB-GYN says she upset with Republicans who selected a speaker who wants to ban abortions nationwide.
Congressman Phillips is currently running for president of the United States.
