(Fargo, ND) — More than 5,000 outages have been reported by local power providers as freezing rain hit the metro over Christmas.
The data comes from PowerOutage.US. Cass County Electric Cooperative shows approximately 3,113 homes are either confirmed or suspected of having lost power in Cass County. Most outages are limited to the South-East portion of the state. Other counties with notable levels of outages include Ransom County, with just over a quarter of customers without power, Barnes County, Sergeant and Dickey Counties.
