(Mapleton, ND) — Mapleton, North Dakota Mayor Andrew Draeger now faces felony charges in a crash that seriously injured his passenger.
It happened last month at Detroit Mountain Recreation Area near Detroit Lakes, where Draeger crashed into some trees and a large rock. A passenger suffered a fractured neck and back. Deputies say a blood alcohol test showed Draeger was over the legal limit.
He’s charged with two counts of criminal vehicular operation.
