(Undated) — Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is facing criticism for recent comments she made about Jewish students during pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University.
The Muslim lawmaker visited an encampment last week on the private college’s campus.
Omar told a reporter that antisemitism or bigotry should not be tolerated against Jewish students, whether they are pro-genocide or anti-genocide.
Republicans in the House have taken exception to Omar for calling some Jewish students pro-genocide and she should face a motion to be censured.
A spokesperson for the congresswoman released a statement saying that she denounced antisemitism and bigotry for all Jewish students.
