(Rice Co., MN) — The office of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is charging eight people in Rice County Court for taking part in a two-point-six-million-dollar Medicaid fraud scheme.
Ellison’s office says the eight co-conspirators used the stolen identities of hundreds of people, mostly from the Faribault area, to bill the Medicaid program for services that the victims didn’t receive and that the co-conspirators did not provide.
The suspects are charged with 67 felonies, including racketeering, felony theft, and identity theft.
