WEST FARGO, ND — The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commers is encouraging farmers and agribusiness members to attend an upcoming event for people across the region.
The Midwest Agriculture Summit begins runs between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and is taking place at the Butler Machinery Arena in the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, 1805 Main Avenue West. The summit will bring policymakers, experts, businesses, and several other farming entities from across the region to look at the latest in the Agriculture world.
The Summit will have feature several speakers.
- Dr. William Wilson: Professor at North Dakota State University. (Keynote)
- Billi Hunt: Executive Director of America’s Cultivation Corridor.
- Bruce Rastetter: Founder and Executive Chairman of Summit Agricultural Group
- Holly Mackey: CEO of FARMS
- Thomas J. Vilsack: Secretary of Agriculture with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (Invited but not confirmed to attend).
Additionally, a pannel focusing on commodities will take place. It includes the following speakers.
- Josh Gackel: President of the American Soybean Association.
- Neil Rockstad: President of the American Sugarbeet Growers Association.
- Krista Swanson, Lead Economist with the National Corn Growers Association.
- Bobby Ness: Senior Vice President of Food and Agribusiness, Bremmer Bank
