MINNESOTA – Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach is heading back to Washington, D.C. to represent Western Minnesota.
Fischbach defeated small business owner, Democrat AJ Peters.
Before being in Congress, Fischbach represented a Central Minnesota district in the State Senate from 1996 to 2o18 and was the President of the Minnesota Senate from 2011 to 2013 and 2017 to 2018. When former Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton appointed then Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith to fill Al Franken’s Senate Seat in 2018, Fischbach became the state’s Lieutenant Governor until 2019.
