Rep. Tom Emmer of MN re-elected House Majority Whip

WASHINGTON – Minnesota Congressman Tom Emmer has won re-election as House majority whip.

His election solidifies his position as the third highest-ranking member of Congress.

Emmer won reelection to his fifth term representing Minnesota’s Sixth District. He served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011 and lost the race for governor to former Governor Mark Dayton in 2010. Emmer also chaired the National Republican Congressional Committee from 2019 to 2023.
