Report: Plane leaving Minneapolis that crashed had fractured landing gear

CANADA – The Transportation Safety Board of Canada reports the Delta airlines plane from Minneapolis’ right landing gear fractured and folded into a retracted position when the aircraft crashed in Toronto last month.

Officials also say the right wing broke at the fuselage and landing gear as the wing detached and released a cloud of jet fuel.

The plane overturned while sliding down the runway.

All 80 passengers and crew survived.
