(ORLANDO, FL) – Miss North Dakota Sophia Richards was a winner during the preliminary night at the Miss America competition in Orlando, Florida.
Richards, a Hope, N.D., native, took home a win in the Preliminary Evening Gown event, winning a $3,000 scholarship.
Tonight, she competes in the talent portion of the contest. Finals is set for Sunday.
