(WASHINGTON) — Speaker Mike Johnson says a ‘very narrow, bare bones CR’ will be brought forward in an attempt to avoid a government shutdown. In a letter to colleagues, Johnson said the bill will include ‘only the extensions that are absolutely necessary.’ He calls the move ‘the most prudent path forward’ under the current circumstances.
