State Sen. Rob Kupec to host listening session in Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – DFL State Senator Rob Kupec of Moorhead will host a listening session on this year’s legislative session.

It will happen Saturday, February 22 from noon to 1:30 at Detroit Lakes Public Library.

“I encourage residents of Senate District 4 to join me and bring questions about the work we’re doing at the Capitol,” Kupec said in a statement.

Kupec hosted a listening session earlier this year in Moorhead.

Kupec is a chief author on 34 bills this session including one that would allow grain buyers who buy less than $20 million to not have to hire a certified public accountant, legislation to provide nearly $2 million in 2026 and 2027 for the Second Harvest Heartland food bank and a bill providing money to buy, renovate and upgrade a building to be used as a cultural mall in Moorhead.
