WASHINGTON – Three Minnesotans are pardoned by President Joe Biden.
Kelsie Becklin of Falcon Heights, Sarah Carlson of Coon Rapids and Lashawn Walker of Minneapolis were among 1,500 people granted clemency.
Becklin earned her Ph.D after serving time in prison for pleading guilty to a nonviolent offense.
Carlson pleaded guilty to a nonviolent crime and received early termination of her probationary sentence.
Walker, who is 51-years-old, pleaded guilty to nonviolent drug offenses in her 20s. She is active in community work.
