(OXBOW, ND) – No one was injured when a semi hauling a trailer burned late Saturday night on I-29.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the semi was northbound on I-29 near Oxbow when it became fully engulfed in flames and the side of the trailer split open. The northbound lanes of I-29 were shut down at the location of the blaze and northbound traffic was detoured to allow crews to respond and put out the fire.
I-29 reopened at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
