MINNEAPOLIS – Opening Day for the Minnesota Twins is March 27, but there are no agreements so far to bring the new Twins.TV to cable or satellite services.
Twins.TV allows customers in Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa and Western Wisconsin to watch all regular season games without blackout restrictions on the MLB app or at Twins.TV.
That’s except for exclusive nationally televised games on Fox, ESPN, Apple TV+ and Roku.
“As they successfully did for Arizona, San Diego and Colorado the last two years, Major League Baseball is currently negotiating cable, satellite and [Multichannel Video Programming Distributor] contracts for the Diamondbacks, Padres, Rockies, Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins,” the Twins said in a statement.
“We fully expect that come Opening Day 2025, the linear version of Twins.TV will live on similar packages and tiers that FanDuel Sports Network currently reside on, along with similar streaming platforms on which Twins games were carried in the past.”
Flag Family News reached out to cable, satellite and streaming companies covering North Dakota and Minnesota about negotiations to bring Twins.TV to their services.
“Thanks for reaching out. Discussions are ongoing, and we’re hopeful,” Midco said in a statement.
“Fubo is excited for baseball season but does not have anything to announce regarding Twins.TV at this time,” FuboTV said in a statement.
We didn’t hear back from Sparklight, Dish or DirecTV about a request for comment.
A season plan for Twins.TV costs $99.99, a monthly plan costs $19.99 and a yearly Twins.TV and MLB.TV plan costs $199.99.
