(GRAND FORKS, ND) – Brad Berry will not be returning for an 11th season at the helm of the University of North Dakota hockey program.
UND Athletic Director Bill Chaves announced the change in leadership Sunday. He says Berry ‘has had a tremendous decade run at his alma mater,’ but that ‘today was the right time to move in a new direction for UND hockey.’
Berry guided the Fighting Hawks to 10 winning seasons, five NCHC Penrose Cups, one NCHC Frozen Faceoff championship, five NCAA tournament appearances and one NCAA championship.
Dane Jackson will serve as the interim head coach, and Chaves says a national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
