UPDATE: Charges brought against two in suspicious death in Grand Forks

UPDATE – Grand Forks Police say charges have been forwarded to the Grand Forks County State’s Attorney’s Office and are pending their review in the death of Anthony James Kiehl. A murder charge has been forwarded on 45-year-old Donald Joseph Bartlette, of Grand Forks, and a conspiracy to commit murder charge has been forwarded on 35-year-old Nicholas Wride-Arnold, of Grand Forks.

The investigation is ongoing and active, and police say no other charges have been brought forward in the case.

UPDATE – Grand Forks Police have two persons of interest in the death of 49-year-old Anthony Kiehl in custody.

Their names haven’t been released and no one has been arrested.

 

UPDATE – Grand Forks Police has identified the victim as 49-year-old Anthony Kiehl of Grand Forks.

Authorities say he has injuries leading investigators to believe homicidal violence was involved and the incident doesn’t appear to be a random act. Police say they don’t believe there’s a danger to the public.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Grand Forks Police say they are investigating a suspicious death as a potential murder.

Police responded to the 100 block of Cherry Street Thursday night, finding a man who was unresponsive. The 49-year-old was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. First responders say the man had “suspicious injuries”.

Authorities say they are aware of a suspect. Both the suspect and the man who died remain unidentified due to the investigation and contacting of next-of-kin. An investigation remains ongoing.
