Walz mulls third term as Governor

(St. Paul, MN) — Gov. Tim Walz is navigating a busy legislative session while weighing a third-term run.

He defended Minnesota’s child tax credit and budget amid Republican opposition and a projected five-billion-dollar deficit. Walz also pushed back against Trump administration policies, vowing not to enforce new immigration directives and criticizing a proposed transgender military ban. He voiced concerns over Elon Musk’s role in federal budget cuts, calling it unconstitutional. While Walz hasn’t committed to running again, he said strong approval ratings could influence his decision.
