West Fargo names new Senior Director of Administrative Services

(WEST FARGO) — At the Monday, July 1 West Fargo City Commission Meeting, Nick Lee was named Senior Director of Administrative Services. Lee has been West Fargo’s City Assessor since 2014 and has previously worked for the cities of Moorhead and Valley City.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Valley City State University and also has an extensive background in software development and information technology.

“The selection panel recognized Mr. Lee’s tenure of municipal government experience and institutional knowledge as an invaluable resource for the City of West Fargo,” said City Administrator Dustin Scott. “I look forward to seeing how he brings that experience and perspective to this new role.”

The roles of Senior Director of Community and Development Services and Senior Director of Administrative Services were created in early 2024 to improve efficiency and support to departments and project teams and to allow for more effective performance management and distribution of responsibilities. The Senior Director of Administrative Services will oversee the departments of Assessing, Finance, GIS, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Municipal Court.

“I am honored that the selection panel and City Commission has trusted me in this role,” said Lee. “I am excited about this opportunity to expand my scope of responsibility within the City and to step into this Senior Director position working with a great team of departmental leaders.”

Lee’s appointment to this position will be effective as of July 8, 2024. He will retain the responsibilities of City Assessor through the end of 2024.
