Bison MBB set to play in Samford Thanksgiving Invitational

The Bison will be participating in the Samford Thanksgiving Invitational.

The Bison will first tip-off on Tuesday against the Samford Bulldogs. The Bison are sitting at 3-3 going into their first ever matchup against the 4-2 Bulldogs. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 CST, viewers can tune-in via ESPN+ for all three Bison games.

On Wednesday, the Bison will be playing the West Georgia Wolves. Wednesday’s matchup will also be the first meeting between the two programs. The Wolves have had a tough go at it so far in their first year at the division one level, as they sit at 0-6. West Georgia Opens their tournament play with a Utah Valley matchup at 3:00 p.m.

North Dakota State will end their tournament play in Alabama as they have the early game in the tournament, on Thanksgiving Thursday, as they will play the Utah Valley Wolverines at 2:00 p.m. North Dakota State and Utah Valley have met nine times previously, with NDSU leading the series at a close 5-4 lead. The last meeting went Utah Valley’s way as they beat the Bison 68-62, back in Fargo in 2019.

The Wolverines are coming into the Samford Invitational sitting at 3-1. They open up their play in Homewood, against West Georgia on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., followed by the Bulldogs on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
