INDIANAPOLIS – The #13 Minnesota Golden Gophers women’s basketball team ends their season with a 79 to 65 loss in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament against the #12 Washington Huskies.
The Huskies led the game at halftime 32 to 30.
The Gophers were led by sophomore guard/forward Grace Grocholski with 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. The Huskies were led by junior guard Elle Ladine with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Minnesota junior guard Mara Braun was ruled out for the postseason after breaking her right foot for the second season in a row before the Big Ten Tournament according to Coach Dawn Plitzuweit.
The Huskies will take on the #5 Michigan Wolverines in the second round at 1:30 Thursday afternoon on Big Ten Network.
