On Monday, the league office announced North Dakota State left tackle, Grey Zabel, as the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Week. This is the first time he earned the honor in his collegiate career.
The Pierre, S.D. native, graded out at 94 percent with zero sacks, hurries, or tackles allowed in a win over North Dakota. Zabel led an offensive line that helped the Bison average 4.6 yards per carry and rush for 208 total yards.
North Dakota State converted 11 of 16 third downs while also controlling the ball for over 34 minutes. Additionally, NDSU earned the FCS National Team of the Week honors by Stats Perform.
The Bison (5-1 overall, 2-0 MVFC) will be back in action on Saturday at Southern Illinois. Kickoff will be slated for 2 p.m. at Saluki Stadium in Carbondale, Ill.
