RedHawks edge Explorers; punch ticket to West Division Championship series

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the Sioux City Explorers 6-5 on Saturday night in their decisive Game 3 of their West Division opening round series.

The RedHawks won the series two games to one. Fargo-Moorhead came out firing, scoring four runs in the first inning.

Nile Ball tossed two innings, giving up three unearned runs. Davis Feldman threw four innings in relief, giving up two runs and earning the win. Parker Harm recorded two shutout innings out of the bullpen. Alex DuBord threw a shutout ninth inning with two strikeouts, earning the save.

Sam Dexter paced the offense with two RBI. Michael Hallquist, Marcus Chiu, and Drew Ward all also drove in a run in the win.

The RedHawks will now host the Winnipeg Goldeyes in Game 1 of the West Division Championship series on Monday night with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.
