Report: Vikings out on Rodgers; sign WR Moore

(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are moving forward with J.J. McCarthy. Tom Pelissero reported yesterday that the team is not pursuing Aaron Rodgers to be its starting quarterback. The report added that Minnesota declined trade offers for McCarthy, who was drafted with the 1oth-overall pick last year. The Purple reportedly spent parts of the last week considering the possibility of bringing in Rodgers for 2025 before fully committing to McCarthy yesterday.

In other team news, the Vikings signed wide receiver Rondale Moore to a one-year contract. Moore has played in 39 career games with the Arizona Cardinals, catching 135 passes for 1,201 yards (8.9 yard average) and three touchdowns.
