Twins ride hot bats in victory over Angels

The bats came alive in the Minnesota Twins’ 10-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Tuesday night.

Pablo Lopez gave up zero earned runs (four unearned) with 10 strikeouts over seven innings, earning the win. Louie Varland gave up one run with three strikeouts in two innings of relief.

Matt Wallner and Kyle Farmer each hit a home run and drove in three runs. Carlos Santana also hit a home run, driving in two total runs. Ryan Jeffers picked up two RBI.

The Twins and Angels will wrap up their series on Wednesday night with first pitch slated for 6:10 p.m. Zebby Matthews will get the nod for Minnesota.
