Twins sign 1B France

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are adding a former All-Star first baseman. The team signed Ty France to a one-year deal worth one million dollars on Tuesday afternoon.

France was an All-Star for the Mariners during the 2022 season. He spent last year with both Seattle and Cincinnati, hitting .234 with 13 home runs and 51 RBI in 140 games.

Minnesota’s pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Thursday, with the first full team workout on Tuesday, February 18.
