The Minnesota Twins dropped their series finale to the St. Louis Cardinals 9-2 on Sunday afternoon.
The loss dropped Minnesota to 0-3 for the first time since the start of the 2016 season. Bailey Ober struggled in his 2025 season debut, giving up eight runs over 2 ⅔ innings of work. Ober ended up being tagged with the loss. Willi Castro hit a solo home run, his first of the season while Byron Buxton also drove in a run.
The Twins will now head to Chicago to battle the White Sox beginning on Monday with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Chris Paddack will get the nod for Minnesota while Martin Perez is scheduled to counter for Chicago.
