University of North Dakota graduate student goaltender, T.J. Semptimphelter has been named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced.
He helped North Dakota keep one of the nation’s top offenses in check as he saved 62 of the 66 shots he faced against then No. 6 ranked Denver. His performance helped the Fighting Hawks earn a weekend series split against the Pioneers.
This season Semptimphelter currently has a 12-8-2 record with a 2.64 goals against average with a .905 save percentage.
North Dakota will now host NCHC foe Minnesota Duluth in a weekend series beginning on Friday night at 7:07 p.m.
