Ryder leads the field by one stroke after shooting a nine under 63 in the opening round. Keith Mitchell is in second at eight under par. Brian Harman is third at six under.
Tom Hoge is tied for 65th at even par. Hoge will tee off his second round Friday morning at 8:26 a.m.
