The Minnesota Vikings opened the 2024 season with a dominating 28-6 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday.
Sam Darnold completed 19 of 24 passes for 208 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Aaron Jones had 14 carries for 94 yards and one touchdown. Byron Murphy had nine tackles, followed by eight tackles and an interception from Harrison Smith. Andrew Van Ginkel had a pick six in the win.
The Vikings will now welcome the San Francisco 49ers to US Bank Stadium for the home opener on Sunday, September 15.
