West Fargo High announces co-head softball coaches

West Fargo High Activities Director, Justin Behm, has released a statement announcing the Packers’ new varsity softball coaches. West Fargo will have co-head coaches in softball with Brooke Mears and Zach Page now leading the program.

Mears played college softball at Valley City State and has been an assistant coach with Packer softball for the past six seasons. Overall she has coached softball for seven years.

Page has been coaching for over a decade across multiple sports. He has been in the dugout as an assistant coach for Packer softball for the past six seasons. Additionally, he is an assistant coach for the West Fargo boys varsity hockey team.

In the released statement, Behm gave his thoughts on the co-head coaching role for Mears and Page saying, “Brooke and Zach both possess tremendous Packer Pride and have a great deal of love for the game of softball. It is evident the passion and excitement they have for the game, their players, and program. We are excited about the direction of our girls’ softball program with Coach Mears and Coach Page leading the dugout.”

The Packers will open the 2025 season on Tuesday, April 1 at home against Fargo South with first pitch slated for 6:15 p.m.
