The Minnesota Wild picked up a crucial pair of points in the standings after edging the Dallas Stars 3-2 in overtime on Sunday afternoon.
Matt Boldy and Marcus Foligno each scored in regulation with Marco Rossi scoring the overtime game-winner. Filip Gustavsson saved 23 of the 25 shots he faced in net.

Minnesota improved to a record of 41-29-7 on the season. The Wild currently hold the Western Conference’s second Wild card spot with 91 points. Minnesota currently has a six point lead on the Calgary Flames for the final playoff spot in the West (Calgary had two games in hand) The St. Louis blues currently hold the Western Conference’s top Wild Card spot with 93 points.
The Wild will now return home to the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday night to battle the San Jose Sharks.
