Mild first week of fall

It may be the first week of fall but the forecast doesn’t look all that spooky. Average temperatures for Fargo over this week range from 69-65 through the remainder of September. Forecasted temperatures however look more like August than almost October. This week I expect a day-to-day warming trend through the 70s to low 80s into midweek. Temperatures are expected to level off at the end of the week and slightly backoff for the upcoming weekend into the 70s to near 80.

Precipitation or chances for rain look very low and we will likely not see any rain with an exception for Monday evening. I do see potential for rains to start next week along with cooler air dropping into the Northern Plains.
